Mike Strode is the founder of the Kola Nut Collaborative in Chicago, a community time bank and mutual support network of people engaged in reciprocal exchange of services, skills, and goods through a time bank, where the currency is an hour of time for everyone. We will explore how this works and what we need to know in order to set up a sharing exchange in our communities and organizations. Mike is a facilitator and solidarity economy organizer residing in southeast Chicago. His community engagement work has included ride leader with the Chicago Red, Bike, and Green, and he co-facilitates the Cooperation for Liberation Study and Working Group. He also serves on the Board of the Dill Pickle Food Cooperative. This program will be live from Chicago.
